Mercedes-Benz A II 200 CDI 140 Hp

B 200 CDI

I was able to get behind the wheel of the diesel B-Class, the B200 Based on my negative experience the last two B-Classes, I seriously expecting anything remarkable either. Weak brakes, a sensitivity that was too light and a suspension were some of the I was expecting here. On the positive I knew the B200 CDI would be a and agile car thanks to that diesel upfront.

This CDI had the optional sports package, added those gorgeous 17″ rims to the car. Overall, the looked pretty attractive this setup. Personally I the normal B-Class is an attractive car. Seeing it in person my mind after I had only this car in pictures.

I get into the B-Class and find I actually have enough space, despite the panorama option on this car. me forgot that there was a beside the seat where you adjust the seat height: I take back everything I about the B-Class being low on Yep, my bad. p] Interior is finished and crafted despite all plastic. Its appropriate for its class and a big player in the Who has the best interior in class? category.

The 1991cc upfront is a 3rd generation CDI 4-cylinder 140-horsepower and 300 Nm of torque (221 channeled to the front wheels. For purposes, our E320 has 315 Nm of torque. So B-Class is loaded with and torque. The engine came to with a smooth little It was hardly audible as well, for a diesel engine in a car of this There were some but those disappeared once the was properly warmed up. Early on, while cold, you could that this was an eager

Once warmed up, I drove it at cautiously, but when I saw that the CDI was slightly sportier than the and B200, I got into the car more. For the sports package makes the suspension of regular B-Classes really boat-like. Second, the feel was more direct and here. Despite this, was still heavy body in curves, which didnt sporty driving much. than that, I was glad for the responsive steering feel and The brakes of the B200 CDI, I wasnt impressed with in the and B200, were good! responded instantly and didnt underpowered at all.

The engine was a lot of fun. 140-hp and 300 Nm of are very generous in a car of this especially in Europe. The CDI engine was and rev-happy for a diesel. It definitely sporty all right. Coupled to the and precise 6-speed manual (yep, you read that smooth and precise Mercedes-Benz gearbox!), the car drove very 1st gear and 2nd gear were a for this car. In 2nd gear, it really hard and nice and sound dieselish at all.

3rd was fun too, here the B200 CDI with a ferociousness that you into the seats. Very and a lot of fun. I enjoyed the torque routed to the front wheels and me flying into the seats. I like it. And yeah, the manual was precise and smooth for a Benz A far cry from those shitboxes in used A, C and E-Classes on the dealer 0-100 km/h takes in 9.6 seconds and the B200 CDI can reach a top of 200 km/h (125 mph): it is perfectly suitable as a comfortable distance cruiser for small

I took two acceleration videos of the CDI. Can someone please it for me? Its not the best video since I had to shift gears and be on the lookout for etc. Youll be amazed at how the speedometer flies from to speed. Impressive for a small engine.

Well, overall the is a great car in the case of this CDI. Wasnt too impressed the B170 and B200 I drove Or maybe it is the sports package, helped this B200 CDI me. Its still not as sporty as the A-Class or the C-Class but the sports package helps driving wise and If only there wasnt so body roll in curves. Id still take an A200 CDI the B200 CDI, even if the comes with the sports Driving that little is fun because it feels so nimble and Cars dont have to be fast to be fun you know. devil:]

I like the B-Class from a perspective, but I dont see myself interested in owning one. I prefer the A-Class to the B-Class for reasons. Despite this, I the B-Class is the perfect car for small and older people. Indeed, the of people coming into the dealership with the intention of out the B-Class are older buyers. And the folks usually go for the A-Class, and SLK-Class. Thats a trend I noticed at the local dealership.

Well, hope you enjoyed the quick review about the CDI. Great engine and but the handling characteristics of a stock still blow away of a B-Class even with the package IMHO.
