Today I testdrove the entry-level C-Class sedan, the C200 CDI My testcar was obsidianblack and I thought it pretty good in this The rims weren#039;t bad looking quite classy.

So now I#039;ll right into the review. The C200 CDI impressed me with comfort and sporty characteristics. The steering feel and sturdy interact well together to the driver a satisfying driving The comfort doesn#039;t suffer too. A nice blend sport and comfort that will appreciate. Such qualities can usually be enjoyed, but in case are only hampered by the engine.

The motor is a detuned version of the CDI. It also has different management settings. The 2.2-l displaces exactly 2148cc and 136-horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. By all means are respectable numbers giving the that the car will be on the agile Agility, however, wasn#039;t the CDI#039;s strength. The engine was generally on the slow side the same criteria only at speed. Acceleration was decent, but the car the spontaneous and frankly brutal power of its more potent CDI stablemate.

Engine refinement was impressive the motor displaying virtually no and a low noise output. I only the motor to be particularly noisy in N or D at a stoplight and of course in the beginning I started it. Other than I thought the engine was pretty for an outdated design.

Mercedes-Benz A II 200 136 Hp

The 5-speed automatic transmission has around for a long time but it dissapoint. The transmission is smooth and the are barely perceptible. Manual is also possible and I found this improves the performance of the lethargic C200 CDI when hard.

I took the car on the Autobahn too but I didn#039;t to reach the top speed. The C200 CDI more like a cruiser since the acceleration was a bit on the slow It also didn#039;t accelerate as as I had hoped. This was a little since the midrange acceleration at below 100 km/h seemed impressive. As usual the stability of the chassis on the Autobahn at speed was I only pushed the car up to 170 km/h. The noises were audible at level but they weren#039;t or intruding.

Overall, an enjoyable car if you#039;re for a nice blend between and sport. The qualities of the W204 are there, but the engine is the only The C200 CDI offers adequate but it won#039;t satisfy those for agility, rapid response and acceleration. The C220 CDI is a better hands down. This offers virtually the same economy but with a more performance side to it. There#039;s a why the C220 CDI sells so well.

interesting records
