Best Mercedes-Benz Ever: E-Class

Coming home a long bike ride I kept looking at the cars on the side of the road, looking for that stood out. And out of all of the that caught my eye, was a 1992 (or so) Mercedes-Benz E-Class in good condition—not bad for a car that is 20 years old. And I thought for the time; that is the finest ever, which is quite a to make given their automotive history.

I know this is a highly and emotional topic, but after soul-searching and contemplating and pontificating, and a beer or two, I have that the W124 Mercedes-Benz is the best Merc ever.

Heresy, you say? Maybe a 300 SL Gullwing pops to mind? an AMG or two can blow the doors off it, you say? about the massively awe-inspiring 300 SEL 6.3 the late ‘60s—especially in that maroon?
