V-230 changing the rear absorber (with airsprings

Finally the original shocks pressure mechanism) gave way on our old TD Ambiente (type W638.2) see pic 1 + 2. Checked with MB for replacement, but that they only it with the original shock at 350 per piece – for just the part. original shocks are also to the airpressure system of the ENR in order to in- or part of the shock as quickly as the air itself.

Now on the actual job: firstly the ENR switch on the dash for a couple of to disable the system. Then I a back wheel and had the car supported on a stand. Remove the large holding the shock in place. Tie up this loop securely where it cannot be or snagged (pic 7 + 8). Replace the securely and start on the other in the same way. Remember to change both shocks on the axle. When all is done the car may way down on its back rubber (pic 7) but this will be when the engine is started and the ENR is depressed again for 3 secs. the compressor should start.

If all has been done carefully, no air be escaping from the system. after a few hours to see if the height has on either side of the back of the I am enjoying a smooth ride
