Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that Emile Smith Rowe‘s injury has prevented him from being named last time out.

The Gunners lost 2-1 to Everton in the Premier League on Monday, leaving the Gunners now seventh in a row with two league defeats.

After the game, there were questions about the absence of Smith Rowe, a good attacking line. The Spanish coach stated that the players had injuries and were unable to help the team.

“He was in pain and was unable to train or travel with us. We will wait and see what he will do after this.”

In addition, Arteta also mentioned the moment Ben Godfrey stepped on Takehiro Tomiyasu’s face in the middle of the first half. By stating that he did not like anything.

“The decision has been made and I’m sure VAR has checked. What I want more is from my players. Today you dominate the game even if you’re not playing at the best level. And you have to look for ways to win. The way we conceded and lost this game was not good at all.

“It should be different but we can’t do that.  When your opponent is chasing you, you have to stand. We can’t It’s something that can’t be done well enough.”
